"A man who carries a cat by the tail learns something he can learn in no other way." - Mark Twain
Upon completing my undergraduate studies at Albion, I joined the Cheshire Academy community and contributed as an English teacher, coach, and dorm parent.
I jumped right into Albion's "Maymester" experience following the Spring term of my junior year. Over the course of the three week experience, I assimilated into Mrs. Strope's first grade class at Caldwell Elementary in Albion and presented a unit plan based on Haiku poetry that I had developed during the Spring term.
Following my junior year at Albion, I ventured East to the St. Paul's School and gained valuable hands-on experience as an ASP intern. When I wasn't preoccupied with the utter beauty of the campus' natural beauty, I observed and studied my mentor teacher and even had a few opportunities to refine my classroom practices.
Prior to the Spring term of my senior year at Albion, I traveled across the Atlantic Ocean with a few fellow student-teachers and engaged in an International Teaching Practicum with Albion's sister-cities in France, Noisy-le-Roi and Bailly.
Since I did not have the opportunity to experience summer camp as a child, I have made it a priority to fill this void as a camp counselor.
